We offer an established specialist treatment programme for alcohol and drug dependency and other addictive behaviour.
We now offer a 5-7 day detoxification programme for addiction to non prescription “over the counter” drugs. Download a brochure on this service.
We welcome informal enquiries from friends and family. You can access our addictions therapy services by self referral, GP referral or referral by one of our psychiatrists.
We have a range of options for treatment. Following an assessment we can agree on the best way forward in terms of clinical care, length of stay and costs.
Individual Sessions
You may want help but may not be able or ready to take time off from work or other commitments to attend group therapy sessions or inpatient treatment. In these cases, our experienced team of Addiction Counsellors can be seen for individual therapy sessions at times to suit you.
Group Therapy
We offer group therapy sessions as a day or half-day patient. Our comprehensive therapy programme explores the roots of addiction and strategies to prevent relapse and help with rebuilding relationships. We achieve this through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy groups conducted alongside exercise, relaxation and other therapeutic groups
7-10 day Alcohol Treatment Programme
Visit our START website to find out more about this unique alcohol treatment programme. This programme offers a two part strategy: a 7 day physical alcohol detoxification with the option of continuing on to a 10 day programme of intensive therapy.
5 day Opiate Detox Programme
Our separate Detox 5 unit can provide a detoxification programme for:
- Opiates – Heroin, Methadone, Subutex
- Prescribed medications – Dihydrocodeine, Morphine, MST tablets
- Over the counter medications – Solpadeine, Nurofen Plus, Feminax
