Drama Therapy

Drama Therapy is a health and human services profession that seeks to facilitate physical integration and personal growth for individuals, couples, families, and various groups through the use of theatrical and dramatic processes. Drama therapists work in a wide variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, mental centers, prisons, and businesses. The definition from the British Association of Dramatherapists is as follows:

“Dramatherapy has as its main focus the intentional use of healing aspects of drama and theatre as the therapeutic process. It is a method of working and playing that uses action methods to facilitate creativity, imagination, learning, insight and growth."
