  • Care Quality Commission

    The Care Quality Commission checks the quality and safety of healthcare provided by the NHS and independent organisations, promoting improvements for patients. It carries out the work previously undertaken by the Commission for Social Care Inspection, Healthcare Commission and Mental Health Act Commission.

  • Commissioning Support Group

    The Commissioning Support Programme website provides a meeting place for commissioners and others working in all areas of children's services across England.

  • Department of Health

    The Department of Health (DH) exists to improve the health and wellbeing of people in England. Areas of the site of particular interest include Publications and Chief Executive Bulletins.

  • National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care Units

    The National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care Units is a multi disciplinary clinician lead organisation committed to the development of psychiatric intensive care and low secure services primarily in the UK.

  • National Mental Health Development Unit

    Launched in April 2009 the National Mental Health Development Unit (NMHDU)consists of a small central team and a range of programmes funded by both the Department of Health and the NHS to provide national support for implementing mental health policy by advising on national and international best practice to improve mental health and mental health services.

  • National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE)

    NICE is an independent organisation responsible for providing national guidance on promoting good health and preventing and treating ill health. In April 2009 NICE will launch NHS Evidence, a web-based service to help people find, access and use high-quality clinical and non-clinical evidence and best practice.
