New in 2012: We are pleased to announce that we can now also provide a 24 hours respite service. Click here to see costs.
We provide high quality, value for money, 24-hour respite, short term stays of 3 months and 6 months in addition to long term care. Our service is for people with learning disabilities, specialising in autism, Asperger's syndrome and associated conditions. We offer the benefit of support while encouraging the growth of autonomy and independence for each service user.
We have a proud history of enabling service users to move through an integrated pathway of care and support into the wider community, whether this be to supported living schemes, such as Cygnet Supported Living or to live independently.
On 14th June 2012 we holding an open day at The Springs Community to allow people to come and see first hand the facilities we have to offer for individuals who have Autism, Asperger's Syndrome and learning disabilities. Management and senior staff will be available to guide you around and answer any questions you may have. Refreshments will be available throughout the day and you will have an opportunity to talk to care staff.
For more information please email The Springs Community.
Situated next to the beautiful Kent coast, the Springs Community has six different types of accommodation, offering varying levels of ‘independent living’. The different accommodations allow service users to progressively become more independent to reach their individual goals, with many acquiring the necessary skills to move out in the wider community.
With our team's large experience base we are able to tailor our support to the indivdual needs of each service user and implement person-centred care plans focusing on independent living skills, social skills and the individual's goals and aspirations.
The Springs Community has been registered to accommodate children ages 16 and 17 years since it first opened in April 1995. Children placed at The Springs Community are accommodated under Section 20 of the Children Act.
We accept referrals from local authorities from all over the country for service users aged between 16 and 45 on admission.
For more information on referral process and admission costs please visit our Admissions page.

"This is a community, there's a real buzz about being in
a place like this….The home is positive, imaginative and the staff are very loving to the
people living there. They're very caring and thoughtful."
