Dr Ajay Bhatnagar - MBBS, DPC, MRCPysch, Dip.Forensic Mental Health
Dr Bhatnagar is the Responsible Clinician for half the Service Users at Lewisham Lodge. He holds his ward round on Monday afternoon.
Dr Bhatnagar is a Consultant Psychiatrist working in Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust in London, currently working as the Consultant for the Recovery, Assessment and Shared Care for the early Intervention Team in the North Greenwich sector.
He has his CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in General Adult Psychiatry and his subject of specialist interest is Recovery and Forensic Psychiatry. He has a diploma in Forensic Mental Health from St George's University of London and is currently doing his Master's in Forensic Mental Health, his research is about the effectiveness of court diversion schemes.
Dr Bhatnagars' work focuses on recovery orientated practice in patients with complex needs and he is very interested in continually developing high quality of service for the client group. Dr Bhatnagar joined the team at Cygnet Lodge Lewisham in June 2009.
Dr Utpaul Bose - BSc MSc MBBS MRCPsych DFP
Dr Bose is the Responsible Clinician for the other half of Service Users at Lewisham Lodge. He holds his ward rounds on Friday mornings.
Dr Bose has been a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist since 2002; initially a consultant at the South London and Maudsley NHS Mental Health Trust and for the last 5 years with Lewisham NHS Community forensic team.
As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, he works in Ladywell Unit, University Hospital Lewisham. Part of this role includes supervising restricted patients in the community and providing a consultation/liaison service to the general adult service, and a referral point for Lewisham mentally disordered offenders from prison, probation, MAPPA, the local Medium Secure services and OATS (out of area) patients.
Dr Bose has worked at Cygnet Wing Blackheath since August 2005 and has been responsible for patients in the low secure complex needs services, Meridian Ward. He has been working at Cygnet Lodge Lewisham since November 2008.
