Information for Students
Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke is able to facilitate student placements for various professions associated with the service the hospital provides. These could be as part of their training course or for continued professional development. So far these have included nurses (RMN), social workers and occupational therapists. We are also able to offer placements for nurses returning to practice.

We aim to tailor our placements to the needs of the individual and can offer experience of working with the different departments at the hospital. Placements can be for any duration, from days to months and, because of the breadth of service provision, students can have the opportunity to work in a range of challenging and fascinating areas.
We aim to offer students the chance to understand how a hospital really works; the senior management team at the hospital are happy to spend time with students explaining their roles and responsibilities, giving experience that may not be offered at other placements.
All students are provided with a full induction and will be supported throughout their time at the hospital by experienced and dedicated mentors.
