  Dr Ian Nnatu - Medical Director

  MB BS, PG DIP (CBT), FRCPsych

  Dr Nnatu trained in psychiatry on the Charing Cross and St Mary’s training scheme in London. He became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2001 and he was elected to the Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2013.

  Dr Nnatu was appointed a full time NHS consultant in 2006. His main NHS practice is at Charing Cross Hospital, where he is the consultant to the psychiatric intensive care unit. This unit was accredited with excellence by the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2012. In addition, Dr Nnatu is the lead consultant in ECT at the West London Mental Health NHS Trust.

  As medical director at Harrow, he leads on clinical audit and supports quality initiative programmes. His clinical interests are, depression, treatment resistant depression, anxiety disorders, stress related disorders, bipolar affective disorders, psychoses and drug and alcohol problems.

  Dr Farrukh Alam

  Dr Alam has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in London for 13 years. His NHS role is as Consultant Psychiatrist & Lead Clinician, employed by Central & Northwest London NHS Mental Health Trust. His private work includes the post of Consultant Psychiatrist with specialist interest in addictions at Cygnet Hospital Harrow.

  Dr Alam has extensive experience of teaching and is the Regional Representative for the Faculty of Addiction at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He is a recognised expert in the field of addictive behaviour.

  Dr Robert Cohen

  Dr Cohen trained in General Psychiatry at the Royal London Hospital and in Forensic Psychiatry at Friern Hospital. He is a consultant Psychiatrist in full-time private practice and is the author of the undergraduate textbook, “Student Psychiatry Today”.

  Dr Jerome Hart

  Dr Hart trained in psychiatry at the Royal London Hospitals. He is in full-time private practice and previously worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Hertfordshire.

  His interests include the management of delusional and affective disorders. Dr Hart also consults at the Garden Hospital, Hendon and at Bupa Hospital Harpenden.

  Dr Hart is also co-author of an undergraduate textbook of psychiatry.

  Dr Quinton Deeley

  Dr Deeley specialises in general adult and developmental psychiatry, particularly disorders of social cognition such as Autism Spectrum Disorders and personality disorders associated with challenging behaviours and forensic presentations.

  In addition to his work as a Consultant Psychiatrist at The Springs Services and South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, he is a Senior Lecturer at The Institute of Psychiatry, London. He is a widely published author on empirical and conceptual aspects of psychiatry.

  Professor Iqbal Singh

  Professor Singh has been a Consultant Psychiatrist for over 25 years. He has held various senior positions within the NHS, Royal College of Psychiatrists, London Deanery and GMC, both at local and national levels, including positions of Clinical Director, Director of Medical Education, Regional Advisor to the President of Royal College and Specialist Medical Advisor to GMC and Parliamentary Ombdusman. In 2011 he was honoured in the House of Commons with Professional of the Year.

  He has been in private practice in Harrow since 1992. His field of practice is General Adult Psychiatry and Developmental Psychiatry. He has special interest in the mental health of Asians. Prof Singh also has extensive experience and interest in Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Asperger's Syndrome and Adult ADHD. He has published widely including chapters in leading text books of Psychiatry.
