Cygnet Hospital Harrogate provides treatment for a range of mental health problems including depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. We offer a number of treatments including outpatient, day patient and inpatient options. Our fee structures can be tailored to your own requirements; you may fund your own treatment or take advantage of valid insurance, as our service is recognised by all major private medical insurers.

Outpatient and Day Patient Services
Our outpatient mental health services can be accessed via our consultant psychiatrists, psychotherapists, psychologists and nurse therapists. We are also able to accept adolescent patients at certain set times of the week.
Our day service provides access to our structured therapeutic groups which are flexible to the needs of the individual.
Inpatient Service
Our inpatient mental health service is located on Haven Ward. Haven Ward is a safe and supportive environment where individuals can receive the expert support they need, to make the necessary changes to their lifestyles. The service is confidential, and easily accessible, providing treatment for most mental health conditions and addictions. We encourage potential clients to visit beforehand to discuss admission and treatment with the nursing and medical team.
Environment
Each individual admitted to Haven Ward has their own bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a television and telephone. There is also a communal lounge and ward kitchenette. The Catering Team provide for all dietary requirements, and individuals can choose to eat their meals in the Dining Room, where waiter service is provided, or on the ward. Clients also have access to a local gym that has a swimming pool.
Team
Our multidisciplinary team draws on a range of therapies to help individuals address their psychological and emotional issues, all designed to facilitate recovery. Your own Consultant will review your treatment plan with you two or three times a week, and the ward doctor is available Monday to Friday. Nursing staff are present 24 hours a day, providing care and support as well as individual interventions where necessary.
Admission and Treatment
Generally admission is planned though we also accommodate emergency admissions. We encourage pre-admission visits, as this can often allay some anxieties relating to admission. On admission, the individual is assessed by the team to ensure that a comprehensive treatment plan is developed, which will be reviewed on a regular basis throughout admission.
