What our patients say about us...

To everyone at Cygnet Ealing,

Thank you for helping me through this part of my recovery. I have had some really, really down times and do not think I would have made it through those times if it were not for the support of the team. It is so hard to put all my gratitude into one card because each and every single member of the team has had such genuine care and kindness towards me .... I wish I could thank and wish goodbye to everyone individually.

Lots of love - G xxx

To all Cygnet staff who looked after me so well,

Thank you for all your kindness & support during my stay here. I would not have come so far without your help! So now my life begins again!

Best Wishes - I xxx

To all the staff at Cygnet,

Just wanted to say 'Thank You' for all your help and support. I know I haven't known you for long but I have appreciated my time here and in the nicest possible way, I hope not to see you again.

Very best wishes - T

Well where do I start? Well here goes.

I can't thank you guys enough for giving me back my life, for allowing my husband to have a healthy wife back & most of all for a young precious girl to get her mother back. This wouldn't have happened had it not been for all your help, time and patience! I dread to think where I'd be now if it wasn't for you guys.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, I now have hope & see a future with my family.

Love always - K xxxx

To all of the staff,

I'm not really good at goodbyes and I’m not even sure where to begin in expressing what you’ve all meant to me over the last year.  I have such fond memories of each of you and you all mean so much to me for different things and I am so sad thinking that the end of our time has come.  You’ve been like a surrogate family to me in a way, taking me in, caring for me and about me, feeding me, listening to me, talking to me, containing me and I can’t express just how that meant to me, to be treated equal to every other human being and being treated as if I mattered.  Such simple gestures are what has made it possible for me to progress from the person I was when I first came in, (that frightened little rabbit that used to sit shaking in her room all day) to the person I am now (the giggly, talkative, opinionated, mischievous little madam!)

I know my journey hasn’t been plain sailing, I’ve gone through some very rocky patches but you have all perservered with me and kept holding on with me and carrying my hope for me and encouraging me and without that  I could never have gotten to the stage I am now.

You really have thrown me a lifeline and shown me that there are good people in the world who are not just going to exploit and hurt me.  You have given me back faith in the human race.

You have also, between you, taught me many things about myself and allowed me to look at things that have happened in my life and see them for what they truly are, not just what I think they are.

You’ve helped me challenge my thinking, recognise my thought process and you’ve helped me realise how there is a difference between food and emotions and how you shouldn’t use one to blot out the other.  You’ve helped me distinguish that my body image and food issues stem from other unresolved emotions and not a personal weight problem and that I’m only dissatisfied with my weight when I have unresolved emotional issues and as such I do view myself differently now and I’m no longer afraid of the future.  I know with the continued outside I will beat the anorexia but only thanks to all of you opening my eyes and giving me a platform from which I can recover...

Dear All,

Thank you so much for all of your support and encouragement throughout my stay at Ealing.

You have all made such a difference in my way of thinking, have helped me challenge my beliefs and supported me along the path to recovery to a much brighter future. I now feel much happier about my life, knowing there is more to my life than what I look like or how people see me.

Thanks again - will miss you all.
P.

To the team,

Just a quick note to say thank you for all the encouragement that you all gave. Even though my stay at the hospital was short I felt that it really helped and changed my whole outlook - I hope to stay in touch.
