As part of Cygnet Hospital Ealing's strategy to achieve this we have implemented a monthly Service User Involvement Group. An elected service user from each ward comes to the meeting with an agenda contributed to by all the service users from their specific ward. All the respective department heads are present along with senior management. This empowers the service user and allows us, as a unit to discuss, consider and action any points raised by our service users.
Recent initiatives that have come as a direct result of the Service User Involvement meetings include the following:
In addition to the above we recently have asked our service users to complete First Impression Audits of their respective wards. These are then relayed to Housekeeping and Maintenance for action of any points or discussion of low scores.
