Litchurch Ward:
Male Low Secure Complex Needs
& Dual Diagnosis
Litchurch Ward provides low secure care and treatment for those whose psychiatric condition is resulting in continuing and ongoing disturbed and challenging behaviour and who have a dual or multiple diagnosis. Together with our Wyvern Unit, Litchurch Ward
forms part of our integrated male care pathway at Cygnet Hospital Derby.

Treatment is aimed at those who:

- May have a history of involvement in the Criminal Justice System
- Present with challenging behaviour within the hospital or the community environment. This includes property offending, nuisance behaviour or severe self-neglect and vulnerability
- Are ‘stepping down’ from high or medium security
