We accept urgent admissions from all over the country of individuals in acute psychiatric distress, and can assess and transfer urgent prison referrals swiftly. We also provide an intensive programme of recovery in our low secure rehabilitation ward, developing a personal therapeutic timetable to meet the needs of service users whatever their stage of recovery.

Facilities and Care
We provide safe, secure, multi-disciplinary care for men in acute crisis and with complex challenging needs, offering 30 beds across two wards, providing two different services for males detained under the Mental Health Act. This includes individuals who have come from a prison environment, or are ex offenders. We assess each person’s functional ability and provide structured therapeutic programmes based on their individual needs.
Service users have their own en-suite room, furnished to a high standard. They also have access to our full range of facilities, including state of the art therapy rooms, a gym, secure garden and kitchen.
The hospital is set in a quiet, easily accessible location, close to London, just off Blackheath Hill, within easy reach of the major road networks.
