Therapy Department

The aim of our Therapy Department is to promote independence, develop life skills, and enable service users to move on from past difficulties and empower individuals to integrate back into the community.


The Cygnet Hospital Bierley Therapies Team consists of clinical and forensic psychologists, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, fitness instructors, an art therapist and a music therapist.

All members of the therapy team are represented and provide reports for CPA meetings and Managers Review of Detention/Tribunal Hearings.
