One of the leading inpatient psychiatric hospitals in the north of England, Cygnet Hospital Bierley offers service users exceptional levels of care for a number of mental health conditions, in a well-maintained therapeutic environment. Our treatments are all provided under the umbrella of a recovery orientated approach. We have close links with other Cygnet services in West Yorkshire enabling us to provide a seamless pathway of care.
We offer 61 en-suite bedrooms in four gender specific wards:
Each service user has their own en-suite room with access to areas which include external secure courtyards, a fully equipped gym, an art room, IT classroom and ADL kitchen.
Our multi-disciplinary team consists of occupational therapists, clinical and forensic psychologists, social workers, art and music therapists, technical fitness instructors and activity coordinators.
Together, they draw on their wealth of experience, and close relationships with other Cygnet units in West Yorkshire, to help people with acute, medium and long-term psychotic illnesses and challenging behaviour regain their independence – and move from low secure facilities, to open acute and intensive community rehabilitation.
Bierley is a modern, purpose-built hospital, conveniently located in a quiet suburb of Bradford, just minutes from the M62 and other major transport links.
