Support and Resources Group
The Cygnet Springside support and resource group is a forum for individuals with an Autistic Spectrum Condition, their parents, carers and families, or anyone affected by autism or Asperger’s syndrome.
We recognise that living with autistic spectrum conditions can be an isolating experience and that individuals and their families often find it difficult to access social settings. Often, families are unaware of their rights and the support or funding that should be available to them.
The support forum provides those living with ASC with a relaxed, informal setting to discuss their aspirations, thoughts and concerns with those in a similar position and to share knowledge, information and ideas.
Whilst Cygnet Springside facilitate the meetings, it is hoped they will be led by the group, in response to individual needs.
Where appropriate, guest speakers will be invited to discuss a range of topics relevant and useful to those living with ASC.
Springside will also endeavour to facilitate and support any social events the group identifies.
The meetings take place around every 6-8 weeks. Dates and venues for the parents support groups can be found on the events page.
