Cygnet Springside autism support services provide an autism outreach service providing specialist autism support and Asperger’s care for individuals aged 5 – 64 years.
Our outreach services provides support across the North West and South West of England for individuals with autistic spectrum conditions, associated learning disabilities and complex needs.
Outreach support is provided in the individual’s own home and local community based settings. Support delivery is person-centred, based on goals and aspirations of the individual to meet development aims relevant to them and their lives.
Autism Friendly
The service has been designed to work with all individuals in an autism friendly way, offering opportunities to develop social, communication and life skills, whilst supporting people to enjoy their lives to the full and positively contribute toward their community.
We can provide practical help and social support for individuals to access education and supported employment, working with educationalists and employers. We also provide social support for individuals to take holidays away from the family home and to take part in specific leisure activities.
Transition
We recognise the importance of transition at all stages of life, irrespective of age and aim to support everyone using our service in a holistic way, into and throughout adulthood.
Partnership Working
Wherever possible and appropriate, we work in partnership not just with the people we work with, but also their families, teachers/educationalists, employers and anyone else important in an individual’s life. This helps to ensure consistency and structure and improves development opportunities.
Future
The outreach service also supports individuals in looking to the future including the development of supported / independent living plans, working in partnership with other organisations to identify accommodation options and aiming to maximise each individual’s future potential.
