The Springs Community in Kent provides high quality 24 hour residential care for individuals with Asperger's Syndrome, autism and associated conditions. Situated adjacent to the beautiful Kent coast with private beach access, it has six different types of accommodation, each designed to offer different levels of independence.
At Cygnet Hospital Harrow, the Springs Unit offers low secure rehabilitation inpatient and outpatient services for adult males with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder, including those who present with challenging behaviour or a forensic history and who may be detained under the Mental Health Act. The aim of the unit is to help individuals achieve greater independence through diagnostic assessment, management of mental health and behavioural problems, rehabilitation and optimisation of adaptive living skills leading to the identification of appropriate long term placements.
