The Springside team accept enquiries and referrals from parents/carers, individuals, social workers or other professionals. Following this, we meet with relevant individuals to find out the type of support required and whether we can meet those requirements.

Following formal referral, we undertake our pre-service assessment to gain as much information as possible regarding the individual and how we can best support them. Where possible, as well as undertaking this with the individual and/or their family we also visit schools, other placements or other relevant professionals in order to gather a truly holistic picture of the person.

Our services can be funded via local authority disability services, Individualised Budgets, Direct Payments, or alternatively via health or education services. They can also be funded privately by individuals and/or their families.

In order that all provision is planned and risk assessed, unfortunately we are unable to accept emergency admissions to our services.

Adult Long Stay Residential

Referrals are accepted through local authorities from all over the country for individuals who are aged between 16 and 45 years on admission.

When interest is expressed in a referral as much information as possible is accumulated about the prospective resident, in the form of past assessments and biographical material, either in documentary or word-of-mouth form. This enables us to reach a provisional opinion about whether we can provide the type of services required by the prospective service user. Visits then take place.

Where possible the Registered Manager of The Springs Community and a responsible individual from the Service Provider, along with another member of staff visits the prospective resident in his/her current environment. The prospective resident, and their relatives and sponsors (seperately or together) visit The Springs Community. It is then possible for all parties to assess whether The Springs might be an appropriate home for the individual concerned.

Secure Inpatient and Locked Rehabilitation Services
