Information for Private patients
Outpatient Services
To access our outpatient psychiatric, counselling and therapy services please either call the relevant Cygnet Health hospital.
We can arrange outpatient appointments to see an available consultant or appropriate specialist within 24 hours, or sooner if it is an emergency.
Addiction Treatment
All our treatment centres offer a free assessment, at your convenience, either on the phone or face-to-face with an expert who can point you in the right direction. This enables us to agree the best way forwards in terms of clinical care, length of stay and costs.
Fees
We are recognised by all the major health insurance companies. If you are not covered by any private medical health insurance, we accept payment by cash, cheque or credit card.
If you have private medical insurance, this may pay your treatment costs if you meet the funding criteria. We can assist in accessing your cover.
Most private medical insurance companies require an assessment with a Consultant Psychiatrist before they will agree to a referral to a therapist. This does not apply to self funders or to BUPA members. Information for how BUPA members can make a referral can be found on the BUPA website.
Information for Professionals
Acute Inpatient and PICU Services
Referrals can be made 24 hours a day directly to a hospital by phone or by faxing a completed referral form.
Decisions on urgent referrals can be decided within 2 hours. With more complex referrals we undertake to make a visit and assessment within 48 hours but where possible we will endeavor to complete this within 24 hours.
Locked Rehabilitation
Referrals can be made 24 hours a day directly to a hospital by phone or by faxing a completed referral form.
Assessments will be made within 48 hours of referral with a decision and written report within one week of the assessment.
