Cygnet Health Care is pleased to announce the appointment of Julian Wenman as Hospital Manager at Cygnet Hospital Bierley. Having graduated in 1993 from the University of Wales, Julian has a background in education, training and management development, and also holds Prince 2 Practitioner status, and membership of the Chartered Management Institute.
For the past 16 years he has worked in a broad range of roles both within the NHS and the independent mental health forensic services. These include services providing medium and low secure care, an Adult Brain Injuries service and a low secure service in Scotland.
Roles undertaken have included Hospital Manager in secure care and new service developments for people with complex mental health needs. In recent years he has played a large role in achieving top marks in the Royal College Peer Review process on 2 consecutive occasions and last year his hospital was awarded 'Best Hospital Provider' by the Independent Healthcare Awards.
Prior to joining Cygnet Hospital Bierley Julian undertook an interim role at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green and before this held the position Director of Service Delivery at Cheswold Park Hospital, Doncaster.
