Cygnet Health Care Limited has been awarded a three year contract with Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust for the provision of Psychiatric Intensive Care and acute services for both male and female patients.
Following the redesign of inpatient service user care Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust has undergone an overall reduction in intensive care beds and the introduction of a male only ICU means the Trust will purchase female intensive care services from external providers. As well as ad-hoc provision for male intensive care and both male and female acute services.
For seven months Cygnet Health Care Limited has been battling it out against its competitors in the hope of becoming the approved provider of psychiatric intensive care and acute services for Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. Following a detailed tender process Cygnet is pleased to announce that it has been selected as the successful provider for a minimum of three years, achieving the highest score for both service and cost when marked against the award criteria.

With significant focus on establishing partnerships with service users through a wide range of service user involvement initiatives, Cygnet is looking forward to working with Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust to develop effective mental health care arrangements, with joint working protocol and a shared commitment to providing the best care for service users.
