27 February 2015: Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke scores 90% in Quality Network Review
Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke's Milton Ward has scored 90% in a review by the Quality Network for Forensic Mental Health Services. Milton Ward, a low secure service for women, achieved 100% ratings in 7 of the 11 areas assessed.
24 February 2015: Dr Robert Kehoe appointed Group Medical Director
We are pleased to announce that Dr Robert Kehoe has been appointed Group Medical Director for Cygnet Health Care. Dr Kehoe started working for Cygnet Health Care in 2002 at Cygnet Hospital Wyke and went on to become Medical Director across several of the Yorkshire Hospitals.
19 February 2015: New toolkit to help parents get more say on children's care
A new toolkit for parents to help the participation of parents in the care of children accessing mental health services is to be launched soon. This follows a survey by the charity YoungMinds has found that many parents are facing problems when dealing with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
13 February 2015: Service users and staff make 'Time to Talk'
On 5th February anti-stigma campaign group Time to Change held their annual 'Time To Talk' day. Staff and service users from Cygnet Hospital Bierley and Cygnet Hospital Wyke got involved through a number of events including setting up a 'Time To Talk' stall at Huddersfield University.
12 February 2015: Four Cygnet PICU services now AIMS accredited
We are delighted to announce that in the last week two more of Cygnet's national network of Psychiatric Intensive Care services have achieved AIMS accreditation with the College Centre for Quality Improvement (CCQI).
